Are you a veterinary lecturer? Would you like to include animal welfare within your teaching?

World Animal Protection’s Concepts in Animal Welfare is the only freely available and comprehensive teaching tool for veterinary lecturers on the subject of animal welfare. Currently in its 3rd edition, the resource consists of 35 modules, with supporting lecture notes and student activities to ensure that lecturers and students are supported in the teaching and learning of this concept.

Although the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) and many veterinary practitioners and associations agree that animal welfare is a core competency for graduating veterinarians, it remains a complex academic discipline, and one that many lecturers would like development and training in. The Concepts in Animal Welfare resource is designed to provide lecturers with everything they need to embed animal welfare within their teaching theory and practice, regardless of their own level of training in the subject area.

The modules are all available on the training page of this website, but if you would like a hard copy (in English, on a USB stick/flash/thumb drive) then please get in touch using the form on this page.  Please give us feedback on the resource using the Survey Monkey link within the modules, or get in touch with us here.
