Concepts in Animal Welfare: 22. Wild animal welfare: Commercial use of wildlife

This module discusses the effects of human activities on wildlife welfare with emphasis on the commercial uses of wild animal species – namely, trade and hunting. It considers the context in which these activities occur, and why welfare is not a dominant concern for the parties involved. It then focuses on the welfare problems of each, and considers specific examples and the solutions to the problems concerned.
