Dr Elly Hiby
Scientific Coordinator, International Companion Animal Management Coalition
Dr Elly Hiby (BSc (Hons) PhD) is a Scientific Coordinator to the International Companion Animal Management (ICAM) Coalition and an independent consultant, working with IFAW and other animal welfare organisations around the world. Her current work with ICAM and IFAW focuses on affordable and meaningful impact assessment of dog population management interventions.
Previously she worked at Dogs Trust as International Director, and before that at World Animal Protection (named WSPA at that time) for eight years, including leading on the working and companion animal welfare programme and advising on humane rabies control internationally. She has also worked as a technical expert with the World Animal Health Organisation (OIE), the World Health Organisation (WHO), and the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) on dog population management. It was through her work with WSPA that she first came into contact with the Alliance for Contraception of Cats and Dogs (ACC&D) where she now volunteers as the Chair of their board of directors.
