Helen Lambert (nee Proctor)
Animal Welfare Consultant
Helen Lambert (BSc Hons, MSc) is a globally renowned expert scientist in animal sentience and welfare. With over 16 years of experience and training Helen is an animal welfare consultant, providing charities, industry and governments with research, guidance and strategic support on animal welfare science and sentience.
Helen has a degree in Animal Behaviour from the University of Liverpool and a Masters in Research Methods for Primate Welfare from Southampton University, and is currently undergoing her PhD in animal sentience science. Her recent research includes an exploration into potential measures of emotions in dairy cows, analysing both behavioural and physiological indicators. Helen has been invited to present on both her research and on animal sentience at scientific conferences all over the world, and has a growing list of publications.
