Ruth De Vere
Global Head of Campaign Mobilisation, World Animal Protection
Ruth De Vere is the Global Head of Campaign Mobilisation at World Animal Protection and is based in London. Ruth has worked here since December 2008 and supports a regional team that carry out projects in Central and South America, North America, Africa and Asia.
With an honours degree in Biology and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education, she taught Science (Biology specialism) for 6 years at a high school in Northumberland, north-east England. After a period of extensive travel, she undertook a Masters in Primatology where she studied nesting behaviour of the critically endangered Cross River Gorilla in Cameroon, and published her findings in the American Journal of Primatology.
